Podcast Production Terms

Good production starts with usable source material. You provide recordings and content in the agreed format and to a reasonable quality, and confirm you have the right to use everything you supply, including any voices, third-party audio or music.

Where source material is unusable and cannot be salvaged within the agreed scope, we tell you before continuing and agree how to proceed. Re-recording, where needed, is arranged by you.

Each engagement is defined by the service you booked and the written quote. The quote states what is included: the deliverables, episode length assumptions, number of speakers, revision rounds and turnaround.

Anything outside that definition, including extra episodes, longer runtimes or additional revision rounds, is treated as new work and quoted before it proceeds.

Production runs through review. We share a working version, you review it, and we apply the revisions included in your quote.

• Revision requests should be collected and sent together for each round.
• Each engagement includes the number of revision rounds stated in the quote.
• Approval is given by your nominated contact, in writing.

Once you approve an episode, it is treated as final, and later changes are handled as additional work.

Turnaround times shown with each service are typical and are confirmed in your quote. They begin once we have the source material and any information we need, and assume revisions are returned promptly.

Rush turnaround, where we can offer it, is quoted separately.

We do not provide music licensing or clearance. Where a show uses music or other third-party content, you are responsible for holding the necessary rights, and you confirm this when you supply it.

We can incorporate music and audio you are licensed to use, and can suggest sources of appropriately licensed material, but the licence itself is yours to obtain and maintain.

If you are unsure whether you have the right to use a piece of audio, tell us before we include it. We would rather pause than build an episode on content that cannot be cleared.

We treat unreleased recordings, scripts and show plans as confidential. We do not publish, share or use them outside what the engagement requires, and we can keep a project private on request until you choose to release it.

Finished episodes are delivered as agreed digital files once the work is complete and any balance due is paid. Working previews shared during the project are for review and are not the final deliverable.

We retain master and project files for twelve months after delivery so we can support the work, then remove them unless you ask us to keep them longer. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of delivered files.

For recurring shows, each episode is produced under the same terms, at the cadence and price set out in your quote. Either side can end an ongoing arrangement with reasonable written notice, and any episodes already produced or in progress are invoiced as delivered.

Our role is creative and production-focused. We do not operate broadcasting services, represent talent, or handle regulated media activities, and we do not guarantee any particular audience, download or commercial result from a produced show.

We may update these production terms as our practice develops. The date at the top of the page records when the current version took effect, and the version in force when your quote is accepted governs your engagement.
